1996 Obtains Architectural degree in the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, COLOMBIA.

 

1996 Joins architectural practice of Colombian architect and professor Mauricio Pinilla, where he becomes partner before leaving to undertake post-graduate Studies in France. 

 

1998 Obtains Masters degree (CEAA) in Urban Architecture at the Ecole d’architecture de Paris-Belleville in Paris, France 

 

1999 Obtains a second Masters degree (DEA) in Urbanism and planning at the Université de Paris IV, La Sorbonne, with a research paper on the architectural and management tools for the renovation of the city centre in Bogotá, COLOMBIA

 

2000 Joins the Paris office of Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava (SCSA) where he participates in several international projects mainly in Europe (Spain, Holland) Mexico, and the United States, among which the new buildings and Concert Hall for the Atlanta Symphony Centre in Atlanta, GA

 

2004 Joins the Paris office of Italian architect Renzo Piano (RPBW) where he participates in the development of the Master plan and a new building for the Los Angeles County museum of Art (LACMA) in Los Angeles CA.

 

2005 Joins the recently established Paris office of Japanese architect Shigeru Ban (SBA) and partner Jean de Gastines as Project manager. He will eventually become responsible of the Paris office where the firm developed several international projects among which the Tamedia company headquarters in Zurich (Switzerland) and the new Pompidou Centre in Metz, (FRANCE)

 

2011 Establishes in Paris, together with associate Amelia Martínez, their independent practice proArchitecture, They participate in International competitions and projects among which, an individual housing BIM “case study” in Monterrey, MEXICO together with consultants from American firm Gehry Technologies.

2014 As an independent consultant, is appointed by the world-class transportation experts firm AREP Group,  as Project Director and Design Lead for the iconic Main metro station of the new 4-line metro network for the city of Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia.

 

2017 Establishes in Monterrey, MEXICO, the local base of proArchitecture, where he has collaborated with renowned local firms such as Arista Design and Harari Landscape Architects HLA, as Project Director / Design Lead for several high-class commercial and housing developments.  In particular, the international invited competition for the mixed-use development and landmark high-rise tower in the traditional Constitución Avenue (2nd. Prize awarded).
